Darbnīca - laboratorija



Laikā no 2024. gada decembra - līdz 2025. gada februārim, trijās nedēļas nogalēsHoreogrāfu Asociācija rīko darbnīcas laikmetīgās dejas un skatuves mākslas profesonāļiem, kurās dalībnieki starptautisku dejas mākslinieku - Maijas Hirvanenas (Somija), Jarko Partanena (Somija) un Anas Dubljevičas (Serbija) - vadībā tika aicināti domāt par savu radošo praksi dažādos virzienos, tādējādi atrodot likumsakarības un nodefinējot konkrētas jēdziena iezīmes. Laboratoriju papildināja publiskas sarunas ar pasniedzējiem, pievēršoties viņu individuālajai radošajai praksei un metodēm, koncentrējoties ne tikai uz konkrētiem darbiem un rezultātu, bet uz pašu izpētes un radīšanas procesu.
From December 2024 to February 2025, the Choreographers' Association is organizing workshops for contemporary dance and performing arts professionals over three weekends, in which participants, led by international dance artists Maija Hirvanen (Finland), Jarkko Partanen (Finland) and Ana Dubljevic (Serbia), will be invited to think about their creative practice in different directions, thus finding regularities and defining specific features of the concept.
After the conclusion of the laboratories, public conversations with the teachers will take place, revealing more about their creative practices and methods, focusing not only on specific final works but on the process of research and creation itself.

Mākslinieciskā prakse tuvplānā #3 JARKKO PARTANEN

Pēdējais darbnīcu posmu vadīja Jarko Partanens ( Jarkko Partanen) no Somijas. Jarko ir starpdisciplinārs mākslinieks, viens no kolektīva W.A.U.H.A.S. dibinātājiem un dalībniekiem. Partanena mākslinieciskā prakse ietver jautājumus, kā radīt neparastus apstākļus uz skatuves, kas izaicina gan izpildītāja ķermeni, gan skatītāju uztveri. Konstruēti no dažādām materialitātēm, kustīgas tumsas un slidenām virsmām, šie apstākļi tiecas uz priekšnesumu, kas cenšas stimulēt visas skatītāju maņas.
Viņa darbā ar ķermeni bauda un spēle ir klātesoši elementi gan uz skatuves, gan ārpus tās. Partanens ir arī viens no daudzveidīgas seksualitātes festivāla Wonderlust dibinātājiem. Festivāla kontekstā viņa darbs ir vērsts uz sekspozitīvāku praksi - vēlmju un iesaistīšanās jautājumiem. Partanens arī strādā kā vieslektors Helsinku Mākslas un Teātra akadēmijā,
pasniedzot lekcijas par deju, horeogrāfiju un teātri. Tāpat viņš vada darbnīcas starptautiski.

The last workshop session was led by Jarkko Partanen from Finland. Jarkko is an interdisciplinary artist, one of the founders and members of the collective W.A.U.H.A.S. Partanen’s artistic practice involves questions of how to create unusual conditions on stage that challenge both the performer’s body and the audience’s perception. Constructed from different materialities, moving darkness and slippery surfaces, these conditions aim for a performance that seeks to stimulate all the senses of the audience. In his work with the body, pleasure and play are present elements both on and off stage. Partanen is also one of the founders of the diverse sexuality festival Wonderlust. In the context of the festival, his work focuses on more sex-positive practices - questions of desire and engagement. Partanen also works as a guest lecturer at the Helsinki Academy of Arts and Theatre, giving lectures on dance, choreography and theatre. He also leads workshops internationally.

ANA DUBLJEVIC
RīgaOtro darbnīcu vadīja serbu dejas māksliniece Ana Dubljeviča (Ana Dubljevic). Viņas prakse balstīta feminisma dramaturģijā. Absolvējot maģistra programmu Gīsenes universitātē ( Choreography and performance studies at The Institute of Applied Theater).  Ana uzrakstīja darbu “ the FEMINIST PORNSCAPES. On feminist dramaturgical thinking in dance and performance”. Darbnīcas dalībniekiem viņa šo izdevumu piedāvāja kā lēcu, caur kuru padziļināti ielūkoties savā mākslinieciskājā praksē, vedinot ieraudzīt katra  fiziskās, emocionālās vajadzības, kā katalizatoru godīgai un drosmīgai mākslai. Brīvai no pašuzliktiem ierobezōjumiem un ciešanām.
The second workshop was led by Serbian dance artist Ana Dubljevic. Her practice is based on feminist dramaturgy. While completing her master's program at the University of Giessen (Choreography and performance studies at The Institute of Applied Theater). Ana wrote the work “the FEMINIST PORNSCAPES. On feminist dramaturgical thinking in dance and performance”. She offered this publication to the workshop participants as a lens through which to look deeper into their artistic practice, leading them to see each other's physical and emotional needs, as a catalyst for honest and courageous art. Free from self-imposed limitations and suffering.

MAIJA HIRVANEN
RīgaPirmā no darbnīcām notika 2024. gada 6-8. decembrī. To vadīja Maija Hirvanena (Maija Hirvanen) no Somijas. Viņa iepazīstināja ar savām radošā darba metodēm, kas balstītas viņas ilgstošajā sēņu pasaules un horeogrāfijas izpētē. Tā rezultātā viņa ir radījusi horeogrāfiskas instrukcijas - scores, kas apvienotas izdevumā “Microscores/ Choreospores”. Maija Hirvanen ir Somijā dzīvojoša horeogrāfe, performanču māksliniece un pasniedzēja. Viņas māksliniecisko partitūru sistēma Mycoscores / Choreospores ir izveidota, lai caur kustību un deju izzinātu saiknes starp sēņveida organismu un cilvēka esamības veidiem. Partitūras piedāvā sākuma punktus dejošanai, sociālo sakaru un dejas kompozīcijas veidošanai, kā arī performativitātes izpētei. Darbnīcā Rīgā Maija laboratorijas dalībniekus iepazīstinās ar māksliniecisko partitūru sistēmu Mycoscores / Choreospores, kopā tās izmēģinot prakstiski. Tiks apskatīti jēdzieni “prakse” un “rezultāts” kā iespējami sākuma punkti mākslas darbu veidošanā.Maijas interešu lokā ir gan mākslas un dažādu ticības sistēmu attiecības, gan pārmācīšanās veidi, gan jautājumi par iemiesojumu un vairāk nekā cilvēku izrādē un horeogrāfijā. Viņa ir rādījusi savus darbus teātros, publiskās telpās un galerijās. Maija Hirvanen) is a choreographer, performance artist and teacher based in Finland. Her artistic score system Mycoscores / Choreospores is designed to explore the connections between fungal organisms and human ways of being through movement and dance. The scores offer starting points for dancing, social communication and dance composition, as well as for the study of performativity. At the workshop in Riga, Maija will introduce the participants of the laboratory to the artistic score system Mycoscores / Choreospores, trying them out together in practice. The concepts of “practice” and “result” will be examined as possible starting points in the creation of works of art. Maija’s interests include the relationship between art and different belief systems, forms of re-education, and questions of embodiment and the superhuman in performance and choreography.
