Alise Putniņa is a choreographer, dance artist, and educator working across various contemporary art projects. She creates choreography for public events and engages in interdisciplinary and socially inclusive initiatives. In her practice, Alise approaches movement and the body as a form of participation — a space where people can meet, collaborate, and create shared experiences. She is particularly interested in highlighting each individual’s unique experience, personal narrative, and relationship to the world, shaping processes in which participants become co-authors. Alise integrates her pedagogical approach with her artistic practice, allowing each to strengthen the other — education deepens her creative work, while artistic experience enriches her teaching. She leads workshops for diverse audiences and develops movement-based methodologies that foster embodied awareness, creative expression, and meaningful participation, both in life and on the dance floor.
